It’s that time of the year once again! Summer season is about to start and Malta has been on my bucket list for a long time, so why not go there in May😀?
We stayed in a town called Sliema which is only 20 mins from the airport and right next to the sea. I always choose the location carefully, because I want it to be close to the seaside, restaurants and the city centre as well. During the walk, we found the cutest pink brunch spot. See for yourself:). The best location for wanderers like me!

The weather was sunny and a bit windy in the evening so I would recommend a light jacket and long pants for the dinner outside😉. The food was fresh, delicious and simply amazing everywhere. We tried Italian, English and Spanish cuisine (tapas, pizza, burgers etc.). It actually feels like we only ate, but I swear we did a lot of sightseeing too☺️.
When it comes to the transport, the companies have great deals for tourists. You can get a daily or even weekly pass on hop on/off buses (the prices start from 28€). The buses run through the island very often, but due to the heavy traffic, there might be some delays. Despite that, we managed to see the bigger part of the island.
Valletta, Mdina, Rabat, Golden bay, islands of Gozo and Comino too- you can see it all in 3 days😎, because Malta is not that big.
VALLETTA
It is an architectonical heaven built on the hill, surrounded by ancient walls and the sea. All the buildings are historically beautiful and will definitely take your breath away. Malta had been attacked by many countries in the past but it didn’t take any of its charm. You can dine in a Japanese, Italian or Arabic restaurant, buy a little souvenir in the markets or get lost in one of the many narrow streets. Nice spot for taking pictures is definitely Upper and Lower gardens.

GOZZO
This little island 40 mins away from Valletta will welcome you with its magical Church of the Madonna of Lourdes on the hill. You need to climb a few stairs but the views are stunning. When you walk a bit further, you can find a replica of the Betlehem village which was actually a nice surprise for us to find. We walked through it and ended up on the square where we visited another beautiful cathedral Ghajnsielem Parish Church. Then pizza break, little stroll and we can go back to the port to catch a boat to the last stop- Comino.

COMINO
Guys, there is no need to use many words, the pics will tell it all, but let me just say: I was impressed by the color of the water and a bit disappointed from the amount of tourists. Too crowded for the beginning of May for sure! Luckily, the views made it worth.
